We are jointly developing sophisticated software for an Autonomous Intelligent Flight Management System (AIFMS) that solves many of the most challenging problems in the UAV industry such as accurate onboard navigation with knowledge of UAV geographic position and velocity, airspeed, and attitude, accurate onboard knowledge of geographic positions and lateral extents of high-population/high-value surface objects, population density profiles, guidance and control for automated recovery from disturbances, to include stall avoidance, recovery from stall or gust disturbances and onboard flight path modification to avoid hazardous weather effects, predicting probability of collision with other aircraft whose position states are provided from external sources or onboard sensors, and plan and execute collision avoidance maneuvers.
