Millennium Awarded the United States Air Force's Pad Safety Support Contract
Melbourne, Florida (August 11, 2016) – The United States Air Force’s 45th Contracting Squadron, Patrick Air Force Base, has awarded Millennium Engineering and Integration Company (www.meicompany.com) the Pad Safety Support Contract (PSSC) valued at $21,500,000 over the five-year period of performance, including all options. This single-award contract will provide operational and technical support required to implement and augment the 45th Space Wing’s comprehensive launch and ground safety program. As a leading provider of high-end systems engineering, range safety, software development and launch operations services and solutions to the U.S. Government on programs of national significance, Millennium will begin contract execution on October 1, 2016.

Millennium will primarily execute this contract at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Patrick Air Force Base and NASA Kennedy Space Center, FL, with additional support locations in Los Angeles Air Force Base, CA; Vandenberg Air Force Base, CA; Wallops Island, VA; Anchorage and Kodiak, AK; and other remote launch facilities. Millennium will oversee hazardous and safety critical operations; support launch operations; respond to and analyze launch mishaps and anomalies; perform operations safety inspections; review and make recommendations on hazardous and safety critical procedures; and organize and support safety training programs.
