Real-Time Image Processing Engineer

MEI is seeking a real-time image processing engineer to support the development of a multi-sensor imaging testbed. The real-time image processing engineering candidate will survey and identify the ideal platform to which multiple imaging sensors of varying formats, frame rates, filter positions, and wavebands will be integrated for real-time processing.

Once procured, the real-time image processing engineering candidate will lead the sensor integration activities ensuring that images are spatially and temporally registered for fusion processing and subsequent display.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must have experience in vision applications and FPGA and algorithm development in hardware applications.
  • Video processing background and/or experience; a DSP background is also beneficial.
  • Must have 2 years experience with an applicable masters degree; or 5-7 years experience with a bachelors degree.
  • Proficiency in MatLab, or other analysis/algorithm design tools, digital signal processing algorithm development and hardware implementation. Experience and be good in team settings and working/leading team projects.
  • Experience in real time video digital signal processing algorithm development is considered a plus
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain security clearance.
