Sr. Systems Engineer / Analyst
Job Description:
Candidate will provide System Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support to the Director,
Combined Test Force (CTF), as a member of the Test Analysis and Reporting (DTCA) division.
DTCA supports Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Test Task Forces by standing up and
supporting Joint Analysis Teams (JAT) to develop and produce system analysis results and reports
for Missile Defense Agency (MDA) senior leadership. Candidate would support government and
Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) JAT leads in the timely execution
of the end-to-end test analysis and reporting process in accordance with (IAW) DTCA policies and
processes, and associated MDA directives, for assigned system test events.
Responsibilities include
management and synchronization of all pre and post test analysis and reporting activities with internal
DTCA functional components (e.g. data management, truth, system analysis, and associated tools
and processes), and external DTCA JAT participants (e.g. DE, JAT Customer Advisors, BMDS
Elements, etc) to successfully address system test objective analysis.
Other duties include, but are
not limited to, JAT product schedule management, analysis working group scheduling and
participation, analysis and data management plan reviews, analysis content review and integration,
executive report and briefing preparation and presentation (e.g. Quick Look Briefings, Mission Data
Reviews, etc), Test Incident Report (TIR) capturing, JAT logistics plans development, test specific
whitepaper and executive summary creation, and DTCA process assessment and improvement.
Focus of activities would be focused on, but not limited to, BMDS ground testing.
Requirements:
10 years general experience and at least 5 years specific experience with systems engineering, test, or related areas
Experience with test analysis of missile defense systems is preferred
In-depth knowledge of the system-of-systems concept
Knowledge of the MDA mission, BMDS system performance, the Warfighter/Operations aspect of the BMDS and test &e valuation methodologies
Knowledge of complex data analysis tools, methodologies, and techniques to include understandings of processes and stakeholders
Background in ground and flight-testing of complex systems, T&E planning, execution, analysis, reporting, and knowledge of the DoD acquisition process
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with an ability to generate concise briefings as well as detailed reports
Ability to interface directly with the customer and facilitate the solution of problems with a broad number of stakeholders
