The Kinetic Energy Interceptors (KEI) program is designed to produce interceptors capable of shooting down enemy ballistic missiles during their boost and ascent phases of flight. This effort will augment the midcourse and terminal based interceptor programs currently underway to provide a layered ballistic missile defense architecture that will guard against potential enemy attack. Primary role of this position in KEI is that of a senior technical manager representing the Northrop Grumman Director for the Raytheon Subcontract in all KEI DVT Booster Flight activities. The selected individual will work closely with the appropriate Raytheon Responsible Engineering Authorities (REAs), Control Account Managers (CAMs), engineering management and their subcontractor, Orbital Sciences Corporation, to ensure DVT technical and programmatic issues/concerns are identified and resolved in a timely manner.

The selected individual will be responsible for technical surveillance of the Flight Vehicle Integration subcontract effort consisting of interpretation of the technical requirements (specifications), assessment of the subcontractor's compliance with the technical requirements, and timely application of skills when needed from other engineering areas to support the DVT activities. The selected individual will participate in DVT technical working groups and peer reviews of engineering products, development and pathfinder engineering activities, propulsion static fire tests, TIMS/Design Reviews, test range activities, and DVT Booster Flight integration and test activities.

Requirements:
10-15 years experience directly related to this position

Education:
BS degree in Engineering or related discipline

Secret
